The Ti-89 and CAS make it possible for students to do many of the analytical tasks for a calculus course on their calculator.  To encourage my students to learn to memorize the various differentiation techniques I required my students pass a differentiation quiz near the end of the first semester.  The quizzes used are available through the links at the left.  They were all given a practice quiz.  Then they started with form A and worked their way through the four quizzes.  Quizzes were never returned.  Only their grades were shared.  Assistance was given to students with the questions they were able to complete correctly.
